Rolling with it: in Boussens, everyone joined the fun

May 7, 2025

Some days just work out, even when the weather tries to steal the spotlight.
On Saturday, May 3rd, in Boussens, a few raindrops made an appearance — but nothing that could stop an activity already spinning in circles. Literally.

As part of the Duel Intercommunal Coop, this wasn’t a tournament.
No scoreboard. No winners.
Just a field, fully inflated bubbles, and one simple invite:
“Come give it a try — you’ll see.”

Kids, grown-ups… and even the town hall got in the bubble

We thought only the kids would go for it.
We were wrong.

Whole families showed up, curious and smiling.
Teenagers acted uninterested — and then launched in full speed.
And even the local officials suited up and rolled in.
Not just for show — but for the joy of it.

Very quickly, everyone got swept up in the moment.
Laughter beat out hesitation.
Tumbles became group choreography.
And Boussens’ grassy field turned into a true arena of good vibes.

Thanks to everyone who joined in

Bubble Football isn’t just a game.
It’s a reason to laugh, to bump into each other safely, to break the ice — sometimes literally.

In Boussens, we saw kids tackle their parents without getting scolded.
Moms laughing mid-spin.
Neighbors cheering each other on for “one last roll before lunch.”

Speaking of lunch…

One activity, one energy, one shared meal

When legs grew tired and the bubbles began to deflate just a bit,
the tables came out.
A warm meal was shared, prolonging the good vibes.
Clinking glasses, animated stories, and echoes of laughter in the air.

The matches were over — but the feeling of togetherness stayed.

What will we remember?

That in Boussens, a little goes a long way.
A bubble. A field. A few drops of rain.
And above all: people willing to play.

Thank you to the town of Boussens for the warm welcome.
To the team behind the Duel Intercommunal Coop for the setup.
And to everyone who came with curiosity, good vibes, and a sense of fun.

And if you ever pass through Boussens…
just ask what it feels like to fly in a bubble.
You’ll probably get a smile — and maybe an invitation to try.
